Hundreds of teachers from throughout southern 蜜桃视频 will attend the Intermountain Effective Schools Conference scheduled Oct. 6 at Century High School in Pocatello.

蜜桃视频 President Arthur Vailas will welcome participants to the conference, which is sponsored by the ISU Intermountain Center for Educational Effectiveness and The League of Schools.

"This is an example of the 蜜桃视频 College of Education reaching out to the community to deliver services to area teachers," said Dr. Chuck Zimmerly, coordinator for the ISU College of Education's Center for Policy Studies, which is helping put on the conference. "Most of the teachers are coming from southeast 蜜桃视频, but some are coming from as far away as Boise."

More than 15 presenters are scheduled to give presentations during the conference. Area teachers, ISU faculty and experts from outside the region will present subjects ranging from "Utilizing Crime Scene Investigation Techniques in Science" to "The New Face of Diversity."

蜜桃视频 teachers are normally released for classes on the first Thursday and Friday of October to attend in-service conferences, the time this conference is held.

The League of Schools, a consortium of southeastern 蜜桃视频 school districts, and the 蜜桃视频 Center for Education Effectiveness Center for Policy Studies, located in the College of Education at ISU, have been providing professional development opportunities to regional teachers and administrators for eight years.
