ISU’s Buffaloe receives 2007 BetterBricks Award

Darrell Buffaloe, 蜜桃视频鈥檚 associate vice president for facilities services, has received a 2007 BetterBricks Award for his contributions to energy-smart buildings at  ISU,  including the new Center for Advanced Energy Studies in 蜜桃视频 Falls.

Buffaloe, one of six 2007 BetterBricks winners in 蜜桃视频, took the top honor in the building operator/service provider category. He was honored at a reception in Boise Oct. 24.

The competition is sponsored by 蜜桃视频 Power Co., the 蜜桃视频 Business Review newspaper, and BetterBricks, a project of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, a network of utilities devoted to energy-saving practices in the Pacific Northwest.

鈥淒arrell has been a leader on energy-efficient issues for a number of years, both on and off campus,鈥 wrote judges in an Oct. 29 article in the 蜜桃视频 Business Review.

Judges applauded Buffaloe for incorporating energy-efficient measures into the construction of the CASE building, which could save more than half a million dollars a year in energy costs.
