ISU geoscientist to present bird’s-eye views of 蜜桃视频’s landscapes Feb. 12
February 8, 2007
蜜桃视频 geosciences professor Dr. Paul Link will make the Centennial Rotary Club program presentation 鈥溍厶沂悠 from the Air鈥 at 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the City Lights restaurant in Pocatello.
鈥溍厶沂悠 from the Air鈥 is part of a National Science Foundation-funded Digital Geology of 蜜桃视频 project. Link will show photographs of 蜜桃视频鈥檚 lava plains, rivers, mountains and farms that demonstrate the topographic diversity and geologic complexity of the state.
From American Falls, Three Creek, Hells Canyon and Priest Lake, 蜜桃视频 contains dramatic landscapes that control how much man has been able to use or not use the land, Link said. Dams, canals and irrigation in arid country are primary themes in the economy and geography of 蜜桃视频.
Guests are welcome. The cost of the breakfast is $8.
