ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ

The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Museum of Natural History at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ will offer fun, educational opportunities for children in kindergarten through eighth grade in its Not-So-Spooky Science Classes scheduled in October.

All classes will go from 4 to 5 p.m. and will be held at the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Museum of Natural History in Classroom 204, located at Dillon Street and South Fifth Avenue on the campus of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ in Pocatello. The cost for each class is $10. Register today by contacting the Educational Resources Center at 208-282-2195 or pokokell@isu.edu.

Not-So-Spooky Science classes scheduled are:           

• Tuesday, Oct. 16 – Kindergarten through third grade, "Ahhh! Real Monsters!"

Students will learn about animals that have inspired monster myths and legends.

• Wednesday, Oct. 17 – Fourth through sixth grade, "Owl Puke"

Students will learn about the unique digestive system of the owl.

• Thursday, Oct. 18 – Sixth through eighth grade, "Blood Suckers"

Students will learn how to use microscopes and examine what makes blood delicious.

• Tuesday, Oct. 23 – Kindergarten through third grade, "Goo and Gross Science"

Students will learn how to make goo and gak that looks disgusting.

• Wednesday, Oct. 24 – Fourth through sixth grade, "Edible Insects"

Students will learn about different cultures around the world that eat insects.

• Thursday, Oct. 25 – Sixth through eighth grade, "Rattle Dem' Bones"

Students will learn about different cultures skeleton makeup.
