POCATELLO – Country star Suzy Bogguss, who will perform at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at 蜜桃视频, said she’s excited about returning to Pocatello to share songs from her new album and older favorites.

Bogguss will perform at the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center as part of ISU鈥檚 2016-17 鈥楽eason of Note鈥 concert series.

鈥淚 performed in Pocatello with Allen Jackson at the Holt Arena back in the 90鈥檚 and the Stephens Center has been on my list of places to visit,鈥 Bogguss said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a very beautiful theatre.鈥

Bogguss, originally from Illinois, graduated from Illinois State University in 1980 with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in art. She traveled for the next five years, touring the country in a camper truck before she was 鈥渄iscovered.鈥

鈥淚 worked in West Yellowstone for a time. It鈥檒l be nice to see some old friends out this way again,鈥 Bogguss said.

Bogguss, a Grammy award-winning and platinum-selling artist, is one of country music鈥檚 most pristine and evocative vocalists. With the release in 1989 of 鈥淪omewhere Between,鈥 Bogguss quickly became one of the key artists that defined those golden days of 1990s country. She scored a string of top-10 singles with country radio staples like 鈥淥utbound Plane,鈥 鈥淒rive South,鈥 鈥淗ey Cinderella,鈥 鈥淟etting Go鈥 and 鈥淎ces.鈥

To celebrate the anniversary of 鈥淎ces鈥 her third studio album, Bogguss re-recorded the 10-songs for a project titled 鈥淎ces Redux.鈥 The re-worked songs reflect the singer鈥檚 growth as a performer.

鈥淚 wanted to do an album of arrangements more representative of what the songs are like at the shows,鈥 said Bogguss. 鈥淚t鈥檚 been fun reconnecting with the songs in a new modern way with a more stripped down acoustic feeling to the album.鈥
