蜜桃视频’s Department of Political Science to host 蜜桃视频 Court of Appeals member Judge David W. Gratton

POCATELLO – 蜜桃视频 Court of Appeals Member Judge David W. Gratton will visit 蜜桃视频’s campus on March 28 and 29 to speak to 蜜桃视频 students, area high school students and community members in the Pond Student Union Wood River Room.
Judge Gratton is a member of the 蜜桃视频 Court of Appeals, the second highest court in the state. Judge Gratton was appointed to his seat by Governor C.L. 鈥淏utch鈥 Otter in 2009. Prior to being appointed, he earned his bachelor's degree from Boise State University and a juris doctor degree from the University of 蜜桃视频 College of Law.
鈥淭his is a great opportunity for students to meet someone who has done remarkably well in a legal profession,鈥 said Shane Gleason, assistant professor of political science. 鈥淲hen someone like Judge Gratton wants to reach out to students it is a win-win.鈥
On March 28 at 5:30 p.m., Gratton will speak on the legal profession and his own legal career. Gratton will present again on the topic of civic engagement on March 29 at 11 a.m. Both presentations will be held in the PSUB Wood River Room.
Students from ISU and local high schools are encouraged to attend. The events are also open to the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about law school, the legal profession, and to gain a better understand civic engagement.
