'Be the Dinosaur' exhibit opens May 13 at the 蜜桃视频 Museum of Natural History

Pocatello, 蜜桃视频—Dinosaurs may be extinct but they will live again this summer at the 蜜桃视频 Museum of Natural History (IMNH) at 蜜桃视频.

On May 13, the IMNH will open its newest exhibit 鈥淏e the Dinosaur鈥 with all things dino! From 9 a.m. to noon the museum will host fun dinosaur activities, including face painting, dinosaur balloon animals, and temporary tattoos that range from $1-$3 per activity in addition to gallery admission. The museum will also have its tyrannosaur on hand for photo ops!

Travel back in time when dinosaurs roamed the earth and see the world they knew and 鈥淏e the Dinosaur.鈥 Discover the science of dinosaurs and their ecosystems as you walk in their footsteps, hunt, eat, hide and survive and 鈥淏e the Dinosaur: Life in the Cretaceous鈥 by using computer simulation, interactive and traditional exhibits.

鈥淏e the Dinosaur鈥 uses state-of-the-art video game technology to allow visitors to BE a dinosaur. 

鈥溾橞e the Dinosaur鈥 has the two things kids love: video games and dinosaurs,鈥 said Leif Tapanila, IMNH director.

Applying lessons learned about different dinosaur species, their habitats, predators, and in some cases, prey, visitors will embark on a quest for survival, seeking food, water, shelter and safety. Other activities include examining real fossils in the field station, climbing aboard the dinosaur safari Jeep, and using dinosaur models to role-play on a 3-D Cretaceous landscape.

The exhibit will be at the IMNH until September 6, 2017.
