POCATELLO – 蜜桃视频’s Public Relations Campaigns class is helping Eastern 蜜桃视频 Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) raise the number of volunteers they have at their 蜜桃视频 Falls facility.
The need for volunteers in hospitals is a growing demand nationwide. EIRMC currently has about 110 volunteers and they will need around 130 to be fully staffed.
EIRMC鈥檚 volunteer services are run by Marchelle Jensen, who connected with the class for the spring semester to help raise the number of volunteers needed.
Students in the PR Campaigns course will put together a plan that includes research, planning, and execution of a professional public relations campaign that will run through April, which just happens to be national volunteer month.
鈥淭his class allows for students to get a real-world look at what it takes to work as a public relations professional for a functioning organization,鈥 said Karen Hartman, an ISU assistant professor who teaches the course.
The department of Communication, Media, and Persuasion, part of the ISU鈥檚 College of Arts and Letters, offers the class. Last year the course did public relations campaigns on behalf of the 蜜桃视频 State-Civic Symphony and the 蜜桃视频 Department of Labor.
The James E. Rogers Department of Communication, Media, and Persuasion is driven by a commitment to creativity, innovation, and relevance. For more information visit:
