ISU nursing faculty receives American Association of Nurse Practitioners 蜜桃视频 State Award

Cathy Arvidson recognized with Nurse Practitioner Advocate Excellence award
POCATELLO 鈥 蜜桃视频 Associate Professor Cathy Arvidson has been named recipient of the 2019 American Association of Nurse Practitioners 蜜桃视频 State Award for Nurse Practitioner Advocate Excellence.
These prestigious awards are given annually to a dedicated nurse practitioner and nurse practitioner advocate in each state. Recipients will be honored at an awards ceremony and reception held during the AANP 2019 National Conference, June 18-23 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The State Award for Nurse Practitioner Excellence, founded in 1991, recognizes a nurse practitioner in each state who demonstrates excellence in practice. In 1993, the State Award for Nurse Practitioner Advocate Excellence was added to recognize the efforts of individuals who have made a significant contribution toward increasing awareness and recognition of the nurse practitioner role.
Arvidson focuses her teaching in the graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Doctor of Nursing Practice program. She has been a nurse practitioner for more than 25 years and maintains a practice in 蜜桃视频 Falls at Southeast 蜜桃视频 Family Practice.
In addition she serves as chairman of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Advisory Committee to the 蜜桃视频 Board of Nursing and is a past board member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as the Region 10 Director.
鈥淚 cannot think of a more deserving person than Cathy for this award,鈥 said William Sabel, ISU College of Nursing adjunct faculty member.
In order to help meet critical demand for nursing professionals in 蜜桃视频, the ISU College of Nursing offers six undergraduate and graduate level programs at its Pocatello and Meridian campuses including the following program: traditional Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, Accelerated Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, , Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree and Master of Science degree in nursing.
