All university faculty and staff are invited to attend New Student Convocation on Friday, August 22.

Join us at 5 p.m. on the lawn just north of Frazier Hall. The ceremony will be followed by the traditional New Student March through the Arch. We encourage all faculty members to attend this milestone event, which calls together the entire campus community to welcome our newest members of the Bengal family.

 While convocation is the bookend to commencement, ours is much less formal than a commencement ceremony. Business casual or professional attire is preferred and ISU colors are encouraged! A special seating section for faculty will be located just to the west of the stage. Please sit in these reserved seats when you arrive.

At convocation, we aim to inspire new students, help them feel a connection to their new university family, and demonstrate ISU’s commitment to supporting students as they pursue their education. Faculty play a key role in accomplishing these goals and we hope you’ll be able to join us. Please feel free to stay for the BBQ on the Quad following the event.
