ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Students Earn Three Awards at 2025 INBRE Conference

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ’s delegation to one of the Gem State’s largest conferences focused on biomedical research earned itself a trifecta of honors at this year’s event.
Held annually in Moscow, ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ, the INBRE Conference brings together experts and students from institutions and organizations from around the state for talks, presentations, and meetings focused on biomedical research and education. The event includes undergraduate students from around ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ who received competitive INBRE Summer Research Fellowships, and these students present their research through oral and poster presentations, with organizers recognizing the best in each category. The winners from ISU, their faculty mentors, and their research topics are listed below.

“We had a fantastic cohort of INBRE Fellows at ISU this summer who all did exceptional work in their respective labs,” said Heather Ray, INBRE campus leader for ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State and associate professor in the biological sciences department. “I want to congratulate everyone, including the award winners, for a successful summer and for sharing their findings with the biomedical research community here in ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ."
ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State’s contingent to the annual conference included 11 undergraduate summer research fellows, seven graduate research and teaching assistants, one postdoctoral associate, and five faculty members spanning the fields of biological sciences, chemistry, psychology, and pharmacy. In total, there were more than 230 attendees representing more than a dozen institutions and organizations.
The seeks “to improve the health of all ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµans by augmenting and strengthening ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ’s capacity to do and sustain biomedical research and education.”
