Present Your Research, Strategies, and Creative Ideas at the Great Ideas in Teaching (GIT) Mini Conference

Please join us for the first annual Great Ideas in Teaching (GIT) Mini Conference, hosted by the College of Education in partnership with the ISU Graduate School and Center for Learning and Instructional Excellence. The conference will be held Nov. 7 from noon to 5 p.m. in the Pond Student Union. 

This year’s theme is “Sharing Pedagogies and Practice,” and will include a keynote workshop with Dr. Liza Long, academic technology program manager for the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Board of Education. Dr. Long’s keynote is entitled “Cyborgs, Centaurs, and Resistors: Teaching and Learning in the Age of Generative AI Intelligence”. If interested in attending, please complete this .

The conference will also include great ideas in teaching from around ISU. Faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to submit proposals to share their innovative teaching strategies, creative classroom ideas or research on instructional practices in higher education. Sessions will be 10 minutes with five minutes for questions. If interested in presenting, please complete this .
