All ISU-owned PCs by mid-October.  ITS also recommends that personal computers, including those used by students, be upgraded as well.  Microsoft will no longer update any operating system older than Windows 11 after the October deadline, which will make machines using older operating systems more susceptible to security breaches.  

ITS has to walk users through the process, which takes most people 30-60 minutes.  During the upgrade, some people have discovered that their current computer will not support the Windows 11 upgrade. Those people will either have to continue using the unsupported older version of Windows, or secure a newer computer.
