Free flu shots and basic physical exams offered at ISU/Ada County Health Screening Nov. 15

BOISE—Free flu shots while supplies last,  basic physical and dental exams, and onsite testing for blood sugar levels and cholesterol are included in free services offered at a free community health screening Thursday, Nov. 15, 4-7 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 607 N. 13th St., in Boise.

ISU and community volunteers pitch in Nov. 3 to “Rake a Difference” for the Pocatello Free Medical Clinic

POCATELLO – This Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon more than 60 volunteers from the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Honors Program, Grace Lutheran Church, Holy Spirit Catholic Community, Wells Fargo Bank, the National Honor Societies of Highland and Century High Schools, and a myriad of other individuals and organizations will be raking lawns throughout Pocatello in exchange for donations to the Pocatello Free Medical Clinic.

POCATELLO – Using clues like “Bid Online & Live,” “Big or Small, We Tow Them All” and “Where ISU Starts its Day,” everyone is invited to join in a community Treasure Hunt to locate 10 natural history exhibits displayed in local businesses throughout Pocatello and Chubbuck.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State announces interim vice president for research

POCATELLO—ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ announced today that Scott Snyder, dean of the College of Science and Engineering, will serve as the interim vice president for research after Neels Van der Schyf retires at the end of the year. Snyder will continue in his capacity as dean during and after this interim appointment.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ math department hosts competition that attracts ISU, prep teams

POCATELLO – The team of ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ math students comprised of Caleb Monoran, Alex Gose-Eells and Rosetta Roberts earned an Outstanding Award at the SIMIODE SCUDEM III 2018 Modeling Challenge hosted by the ISU Department of Mathematics and Statistics on Saturday, Oct. 27.
